The majority of mini self storage units will work great for boxes and small items, but realistically are not meant for larger items that barely leave room for anything else. If you rent an outdoor unit you need to be mindful that it is possible that not all of them will protect your belongings from small intruders such as insects or rodents. You will want to check with the unit’s owners to determine if that will be a justifiable fear. You will also want to verify that they are not subject to flooding in the area and if something does happen to your belongings, is the facility covered by insurance against your loss.
